A sworn translation includes an opening certification, the translated content, and a closing statement bearing the sworn translator’s official signature and seal. Through these elements, the translator certifies that the translation faithfully represents the contents of the document submitted.

For this reason, the price covers more than the translation of the words themselves. It also includes reviewing the document, preparing the certification, and assuming professional responsibility for the signed and sealed translation.

The price depends on the type of document and the actual amount of content that must be translated. A university diploma may contain relatively little text, while a one-sided birth certificate may include numerous fields, codes, seals, and vital-record information.

This example applies to a university diploma issued in English, with content on one side only, accompanied by an apostille that has already been issued abroad. The Q300 price includes the sworn Spanish translation of both the diploma and the English text contained in the apostille.

Although the certificate has content on only one side, it contains numerous fields, vital-record details, seals, codes, and formatting elements that must be translated and reviewed carefully. For this reason, it requires more work than the diploma in the previous example.

Birth certificates issued by different states do not follow an identical format. Although they generally contain similar information, they may differ in their design, number of fields, abbreviations, seals, and certifications. Each document must therefore be reviewed before the price can be confirmed.
